Nuclear medicine and Cardiology center
Unlike conventional radiology, the strength of nuclear medicine resides in how it uses radioactive tracers to study the function of the body’s organs. We have four licensed nuclear medicine technicians, three specialized doctors, and a group of cardiologists specialized in nuclear cardiology. We offer excellent non-invasive methods for the diagnosis and treatment of many medical conditions.

The clinical laboratory at Ashford Hospital is run by recognized pathologists that consistently consult with our patient’s doctors. Our advanced technology allows us to run the full gama of analysis and lab tests that are needed for the most precise diagnosis.

Physical therapy and rehabilitation center
At our physical therapy and rehabilitation center we look after patients with orthopedic, muscular and neurological conditions as well as patients with paralysis. We are the only hospital in Puerto Rico with technicians that are specialized in the rehabilitation of the pelvic floor and the only private hospital on the island with a cardiac rehabilitation center. Our expert personnel uses electric stimulation equipment, ultrasound, laser, therapeutic exercises and paraffin baths in order to best relieve our patients pain.

Wound care
Wound care and treatment helps to avoid infections and other complications. Our wound care center provides outpatient interdisciplinary treatment with established clinical protocols that are scientifically proven. We also teach our patients how to take care of their wounds at home and how to avoid further injuries.
Some of the wounds we treat are:
- Post-operation
- Wounds on diabetic patients that resist scarring
- Arterial ischemic wounds
- Venous stasis, pressure ulcers

Ashford Prenatal
At our Prenatal Center (directed by Annette Pérez-Delboy, MD, FACOG), we work hand in hand with your obstetrician in order personalize your treatment plan and best suit your needs. We carry out studies and specialized procedures to diagnose and treat any possible conditions at the earliest possible stage. Our main objective is to create the safest possible pregnancy conditions for you and your baby.

At the Ashford Hospital Women’s Center we focus on fomenting the physical, mental and social development of our patients. We offer integral health services and promote early detection of conditions that are common in women such as breast cancer, cardiovascular and cervical illnesses, HPV, and menopause. With just one phone call, our health educator will coordinate all the specialized studies that our patients may need.
