The economic contributions to the Ashford Presbyterian Community Hospital (APCH) Foundation Fund will perpetuate the financial health of El Presby and will allow that the legacy of excellence in hospital-medical services that began in 1904 will continue. The APCH Foundation Fund is managed by the Puerto Rico Community Foundation, a nonprofit organization established in 1985.

The Puerto Rico Community Foundation serves as custodian and financial administrator for the ACPH Foundation Fund. The Puerto Rico Community Foundation also provides professional services, to maintain and to maximize the value of our foundation fund.

The Puerto Rico Community Foundation (PRCF) was established as a nonprofit philanthropic organization whose purpose is to support processes of change in the communities of Puerto Rico. The FCPR has served as philanthropic advisor for individuals, corporations, and nonprofit organizations in order to support processes of transformation within the community. Part of these efforts encompass providing support to communities in Puerto Rico with over 40 million dollars in donations and technical assistance channeled through nonprofit organizations of communitarian reach, such as the APCH Foundation Fund.

PROCEDURE

All economic contributions sent to the APCH Foundation Fund shall be directed to the Puerto Rico Community Foundation, indicating in the provided space (lower left part of checks) that it is in favor of the Ashford Presbyterian Community Hospital Foundation.

Each contribution received by the Puerto Rico Community Foundation that is directed to the APCH Foundation Fund will be confirmed by letter, via certified mail. This confirmation will serve as a receipt for the corresponding income tax deductions for the tax year in which the donation was made.

TAX BENEFITS - INDIVIDUALS AND CORPORATIONS

Several tax benefits exist in favor of those organizations, corporations, and individuals that contribute to the ACPH Foundation Fund. On September 23, 2004 Law 463 was approved, creating a special tax deduction for the benefactors of the Puerto Rico Community Foundation.
Your charitable donation to the ACPH Foundation Fund may qualify for these benefits. Ask your financial advisor or accountant.
